New (to me) Tellurium Kepler Part II - The Lunar Eclipse Cometh

For anyone interested in how to read this: 1. The sun is fixed on the 12:00 position on the case. There is a line coming down from it for reference 2. The moon is the small disc at roughly the 6:00 position on the dial covering up the astrological sign. N

Glad to confirm my understanding. I also found

an Astrolabium in excellent condition at a good price so I may pick that up. I may never wind up completing the Trilogy since Christiaan van der Klaauw came out with an amazing planetarium watch last year that I'm thinking of getting. I wouldn't need 2 pl

All good

The position of the dragon hand is correct. The dragon hand always points at the intersection of the ecliptic with the lunar orbit. That it is pointing towards noon on the tellurium, simply means that, if the moon were there, which it is not, an eclipse c

I'm looking at purchasing a new old stock Astrolabium that will apparently need to be reset at the factory

And UN is saying that it will take 4 months and cost $10,000! I need to learn more about the Astrolabium before I decide to pull the trigger. Also, this watch had been serviced a few years ago, and the dealer who sold it to me shared the invoice with me.

New (to me) Tellurium Kepler - anyone want to check if I set it correctly?

I've known of the Trilogy of Time series from learning about the history of Ulysse Nardin, but I'd never seen one in the metal. I was vacationing in Melbourne, Australia, and on a whim I checked Chrono24 to see what watches were available in Australia. Th

One of those watches I like…

But am not sure I would wear 🤷🏻‍♂️😊 A rare split seconds chronograph from that era but also not quite the specialty of UN of a couple of years later. Thanks for showcasing it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Superb post, Denes. The UN PC is brilliant, especially the fact that you can set it forward AND backward, all that through the crown.

Merci MM OESCHLIN and SCHNYDER. Add MM GYGAX and HUMAIR, and you have THE Team who gave life to some of the most marvelous and innovative masterpieces, such as the Astronomical watches, the Sonata, the Freak and so on... What an era! As for your Marine Pe

Accuracy

Five years ago I sent back my Moonstruck for service. It was, as all their astronomical watches always, sent back to Le Locle. It spent there six months. When it came back it had this tag and clamp on the crown. It was set to the indicated time and date.
